Special-Use Area

at Mark Twain State Park

Due to a managed deer hunt at the park, special-use camping will not be available at Mark Twain State Park Nov. 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11, 2024, and reservations for any of these dates will not be accepted.

The special-use camping area is designated for group camping, with nonprofit organizations and youth groups having priority. The area has a vault toilet that is open year-round. The flat fee for use of this area is $40 per night covering up to 20 people, and an additional $2 per person per night for any additional people over the 20 included in the flat fee. For more information or to reserve the area for your group, call 573-248-9980.
