Join Missouri State Parks and Boone Electric Cooperative on Wednesday, Oct. 22, or Thursday, Oct. 23, for the 14th annual Katy Trail Fall Colors Tram Tours. These round-trip tours take visitors on the Katy Trail between Rocheport and McBaine in the comfort of an open-air tram coach. An interpretive guide with a PA system will share information about the history of the Katy Trail and the natural and cultural features along the route.
Tours depart from the Rocheport trailhead at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Each tour uses six trams and can accommodate up to 120 people. Participants are encouraged to bring hats, sunglasses, seat cushions, sunscreen and water. Tours last approximately two hours.
Free preregistration is required, and there is a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Reservations can be made online or by calling the park office at 573-449-7402.
In the event of inclement weather, the tours will be canceled.

Tour route and location:
- Tours begin at the Rocheport trailhead and make a round trip to McBaine and back, for a total distance of about 18 miles.
