Missouri Folk Arts and the Missouri State Museum will continue their celebration of the Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program’s 40th anniversary with a presentation by folklorist Amy Skillman on Saturday, Oct. 4. Skillman served as Missouri’s second state folklorist from 1986-1988, during which she managed and conducted field research for the Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program.
Skillman’s presentation will begin inside the Capitol rotunda at 2:30 p.m. It will be followed by a question and answer session and an opportunity to view the museum’s newest exhibition, “Missouri Makers: Celebrating 40 Years of Missouri’s Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program.”
