The special-use camping area is designated for group camping, with nonprofit organizations and youth groups having priority. It is divided into three separate camping areas: Fox, Jay and Oak. All areas have a fire ring, pedestal grill, picnic tables, vault toilet and water spigot.

Each area has a minimum charge for usage:

  • Fox - $60 (charge based on fee for 30 people); charge of $2 per night for each person over the 30 minimum up to the 50 maximum
  • Jay - $80 (charge based on fee for 40 people); charge of $2 per night for each person over the 40 minimum up to the 60 maximum
  • Oak - $40 (charge based on fee for 20 people); charge of $2 per night for each person over the 20 minimum up to the 30 maximum

Park Office hours

  • April 15 through Oct. 31
    Staff are usually available in the park daily. The office telephone is monitored for messages between:
    8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday through Thursday
    8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

Winter Hours (off-season)

  • Nov. 1 through April 14
    Staff are usually available in the park daily. The office telephone is monitored for messages between:
    8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday through Thursday
    8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

Messages left on Tuesday and Wednesday may not be returned until Thursday.
