Ulysses S. Grant Traveling Exhibit

11/4/2022 to 11/27/2022 | Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site | Pilot Knob, MO

This year is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ulysses S. Grant. To celebrate, Battle of Pilot Knob Historic Site will host a traveling exhibit presented by the Missouri Humanities Council highlighting the life and accomplishments of this important American figure.

Arcadia Valley has a personal connection to Grant. As a colonel, Grant was stationed in Ironton, Missouri, commanding southeast Missouri when he received his commission to lieutenant general of the army, a rank last held by George Washington.

The exhibit will be open Friday through Sunday throughout the month of November, and a special opening reception will be held on the evening of Friday, Nov. 11.
