1/1/2022 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO

This event has been canceled.

Start the new year off on the right foot with an easy guided walk in Cuivre River's historic Camp Sherwood. Camp Sherwood was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937 and is listed as a National Historic District. The tour will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Camp Sherwood Recreation Hall and last about one and a half hours. The camp area is fairly flat and consists of gravel roads and paths that are accessible for visitors with mobility impairments.

Camp Sherwood is located off Lincoln Hills Road approximately 2.5 miles from the park visitor center. Participants should dress for the weather. Restrooms will not be available at Camp Sherwood – vault toilets are open at the equestrian area, the Hilltop Shelter, and in the campground across from the playground.
