Is your 2022 New Year’s resolution to get out and hike more? What better place to start than Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park? Join us for our annual First Day Hike on the 2-mile Horseshoe Glade Trail. On this moderately difficult hike, you will witness one of the best views in the park. Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, dress warmly in layers, and bring plenty of water and snacks.
We will start the morning off with free doughnuts and coffee at the Black River Center at 9 a.m. The guided hike will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Shut-Ins Trailhead by the River Store.
This event is free and open to all ages. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
