On Jan. 1, 2022, Harry S Truman State Park will hold a guided First Day hike to celebrate the new year. We will meet at the Western Wallflower Trailhead, located just before the fee booth, at 1 p.m. Park staff will guide the hike, which will take you through the beautiful Western Wallflower Glade with stunning views of the lake. The trail is 0.8 mile long and considered moderately difficult. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. You may bring your pet but must have it on a leash.
