[Virtual] Missouri Trailblazers: John William “Blind” Boone and Carl Schurz

8/17/2021 | Missouri State Museum | Jefferson City, MO

John William “Blind” Boone and Carl Schurz: same trail, different blazers. Boone, an African American musician and entertainer. Schurz, a German Civil War general, reporter and politician. Both struggled with oppression but were spirit-filled and challenged all people to live their lives to the fullest.

In this all-ages program hosted by the Daniel Boone Regional Library, you can explore their lives through this installment of the Missouri State Museum's “Trailblazer” series, with pictures, songs and stories.
