Women Outdoors

6/10/2021 to 9/9/2021 | Echo Bluff State Park | Eminence, MO

Introducing classes for women taught by women to women. Must be 16 to attend. NO children, please. Consider this a girls’ night out. Classes will be held the second Thursday of every month June through September. These are hands-on classes in which participants learn and share new skills in the outdoors.


Class Details

June 10: Dutch Oven Cooking, Echo Bluff State Park, Bluff Top Pavilion

Yes, we are cooking! You will learn how to cook two "wild" dishes, two "store-bought" dishes and one vegetarian dish.

July 8: Kayaking, Current River State Park, Upper Lake

You will learn a few basics and then put them into practice with a nature interpretive tour around the lake as we listen to nature as the sun goes down. All equipment provided; bring your own PFD (life jacket) if you have it. This class is limited to 10 participants, so call to register.

Aug. 12: Archery, Echo Bluff State Park, Camp Zoe Field

Learn about the history of bows and atlatls and then learn how to use these ancient hunting tools. This is a sport that is gaining a lot of attention and becoming very popular with women, so come and learn the basics. ALL equipment is provided.

Sept. 9: Fishing and Fish Fry, Current River State Park, Lower Lake

Why should the guys have all the fun? Learn not only how to bait a hook and what bait works best but also how to clean and cook your catch! You catch the fish; we will bring the potatoes!
