This class is a beginner-level class and will teach you some basic foraging techniques with an emphasis on sustainable and responsible foraging. The day will start with a sampling of pre-foraged foods and a basic classroom session. You will be sent the PowerPoint so that you can print it and bring it for notes, or you can bring a notebook. The rest of the class will be hands-on.
A short hike around the park will include instructions on what you can and cannot forage and how to prepare the items that have been gathered.
Items to bring:
- Good walking shoes (wear or bring)
- Gloves
- Water bottle
