1860s Children's Day

Children of all ages are invited to Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site on May 22, 2021, for 1860s Children’s Day. Children will have the opportunity to learn what life was like in the 1860s by participating in common chores and games of that time. They will be able to take part in activities such as washing clothes with a washboard, dipping candles, walking on stilts and more.

This event is free and open to the public. Social-distancing guidelines will be followed. In case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled.
