Postponed: Informational Meeting

Representatives from Missouri State Parks are postponing the informational meeting for Gen. John J. Pershing Boyhood Home State Historic Site and Locust Creek Covered Bridge, originally scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 18. The meeting will be rescheduled for a future date. Staff from the historic site will be on hand to provide information about the site along with Locust Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site, and answer questions. The public is invited to share comments about the facilities and their operations.

The meeting will be followed by a Pershing Park Memorial Association meeting.

The public is strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others amid ongoing public health concerns. Come prepared with hand sanitizer and bottled water, avoid large and congested crowds, and please stay home if sick. Face coverings are encouraged when social-distancing measures are difficult to maintain.

MEETING TIME: 6 P.M.
MEETING LOCATION: Pershing Memorial Museum, 900 Ausmus St., Laclede

Input from the public is important to the department. These informational meetings, which are being held in all state parks and historic sites, help create a two-way communication. The meetings give staff the opportunity to let people know the current status and future plans for the park or site, and they offer visitors the opportunity to comment on the facilities.
