Join us Saturday, April 25 for Kites Over Lafayette County! Battle of Lexington and Confederate Memorial state historic sites have great locations to fly a kite to celebrate April as National Kite Month! Battle of Lexington will have kites flying on the historic battlefield, and Confederate Memorial has several places to fly a kite. Both sites will have kites to hand out on a first come, first served basis (one kite per family). In case of inclement weather, indoor activities will be held in the Battle of Lexington visitor center.
Battle of Lexington State Historic Site is located at 1101 Delaware St. in Lexington, and Confederate Memorial State Historic Site is located at 211 W. First Street in Higginsville.
