This class is full!
Have you ever looked at a plant and wondered if you could eat it? Or wished you could "live off the land"? Then this is a good class to start with. Join park staff and Kirsten Alvey-Mudd to learn about spring wild edibles, where they can be found and how to process them. The fun part is then you get to EAT everything that was gathered!
PLEASE bring a water bottle, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather, as we will be foraging (hiking) to collect the wild edibles that are found on the park, while learning how to harvest responsibly.
Class Schedule: TIMES ARE ESTIMATED
- 9 a.m. - Meet in the dining room of the lodge for a brunch of wild edibles and go over the handouts.
- 10 a.m. - Forage
- 1 p.m. - Light lunch made in advance
- 2 p.m. - Clean, prep and cook foraged items
- 5 p.m. - EAT supper and clean kitchen
