Winter is waning, so spring is not far off. Early spring on the prairie brings forth new life, with flowers and insects venturing forth on warm days. Join us on our guided bison hike on March 7 to see what the prairie has to offer this time of year. We will explore the prairie while learning about bison.
Be prepared for a 2-mile hike over uneven terrain. Bringing water, snacks, a hat and sunscreen, and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended. Binoculars will be useful in looking at bison as well as other wildlife that we may see. Be sure to dress for the weather - the prairie winds can be rather nasty this time of year. Don't forget your cameras!
Registration is required and limited to 50 people. Please call 417-843-6711 to register.
Hike Time: 10 a.m. - Noon
