Night Hike: Creep and Crawl

6/13/2020 | Ha Ha Tonka State Park | Camdenton, MO

When we think of nocturnal life, raccoons, bats and owls often come to mind. However, the real stars of the night are the insects. Join the park naturalist on a short hike discovering the major source of nighttime sounds. We will identify some of the more common insects of the park and discuss their significance to the ecosystem.

We will meet at the Spring trailhead in the lake parking lot. To get to the lake parking lot from U.S. Highway 54, turn onto State Road D and continue for approximately 2.7 miles to Tonka Spring Road. The parking lot will be on your right.
