9/14/2019 | Battle of Lexington State Historic Site | Lexington, MO
You are cordially invited to join us for a Spirit of the Civil War event to commemorate the Battle of Lexington, which took place from Sept. 18-Sept. 20 in 1861. This anniversary day will start with an official State Guard sendoff with a flag ceremony and parade at the Lafayette County Courthouse in Lexington. This will be followed by a picnic lunch (please bring your own lunch), period hand craft demonstrations, soldier camp viewings, afternoon tea at the Anderson House and a lawn dance all out. We will officially end the event with a night artillery shoot on the battlefield at 7:30 pm.
