Night Owls and Nightjars: Often Heard but Seldom Seen

6/8/2019 | Echo Bluff State Park | Eminence, MO

What are those strange sounds that we hear during the night?  Come to an interactive program to learn about some strange birds that make the spring and summer nights noisy - the owls and nightjars!  We will start at the amphitheater to view photos of these feathered friends and learn why they are so unique.  We will then take a walk in an attempt to hear them from the trees along the creek, and even try to call some in! Wear good shoes for this short walk.

This event is free and open to public. For more information about this program, contact Connie Weber at 573-751-1224 or connie.weber@dnr.mo.gov. Click here to read the news release.
