Intruder Alert!

5/18/2019 | Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park | Miami, MO

Protecting Missouri's native plants and landscapes is one of the most important missions of Missouri State Parks. Please join us at the park for an educational program about invasive species sneaking their way into Missouri habitats. Attendees will learn how to identify and remove invasive species in order to preserve Missouri's natural resources.

Participants should meet at Lake Wooldridge parking lot (at the end of Pinnacle Drive) and be prepared to hike a portion of Loess Hills Trail and possibly aid in the removal of some invasive species. Dress in appropriate active clothing, wear closed-toe shoes and wear plenty of bug spray and sunscreen.

This event is free and open to the public. Trail terrain will be rough at times.

Event time: 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
