National Trails Day on the Katy Trail

6/1/2019 | Katy Trail State Park

Join us in celebrating National Trails Day! The day is organized by the American Hiking Society and is the country's largest celebration of trails. This 1.5-mile hike will allow participants to enjoy a partial section of the Rock Island Spur in Windsor.

You will have an opportunity to learn about the trail's creation and the Rock Island and Katy Trail's history and its operations with the chance to see some wildlife, as well as ask questions during the hike. Please bring a water bottle.

You can bring your pet, but make sure you have a leash. At 2 p.m., participants will depart from the Windsor Katy Trail and Rock Island Spur trailhead.

Pre-registration is required, so please call 660-563-2463 to register for the event.

Hike time: 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.

This event is being held in conjunction with National Trails Day. For more information about National Trails Day and to see other events being held in Missouri State Parks, click here.
