Missouri State Parks and Missouri Humanities Council is sponsoring the Jazz Storytellers as part of the African American Musical Heritage Series. The performance was originally scheduled for Feb. 15 but was postponed due to inclement weather. The Jazz Storytellers feature an internationally renowned cast including vocalist Lisa Henry, storyteller Brother John Anderson, bassist Tyrone Clark and drummer Mike Warren. The ensemble performs programs that introduce folks of all ages to the sounds and styles of jazz. The performance will take place at the Bruce R. Watkins Center located at 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Kansas City. This event is free and all ages are welcome.
