Senior citizens can experience Katy Trail State Park from the comfort of a tram coach on the Tuesdays on the Trail tours on the first Tuesday of the month in April, May, June, September and October. The tram tours will run between different Katy Trail trailheads, offering a chance for visitors to see stretches of the trail they may not be able to experience by walking or bicycling. Tours will focus on the natural and cultural history of the area and the local communities.
The tours are part of Missouri State Parks’ Seniors to State Parks initiative with funding for the tram provided by the Missouri Parks Association.
