Invasive or exotic plants are those that have been introduced into an area where they are not normally found. Such plants have the ability to thrive and take up valuable space needed for native plant species to grow. Bush honeysuckle is an invasive shrub that has been identified in areas of the park. Visit the park to learn more about invasive plants. Then, get some hands-on experience by using the techniques covered to remove bush honeysuckle. Suggested items to bring are insect repellent, sturdy shoes, long pants, long-sleeved shirts and work gloves. Meet staff at the North Ridge Trail trailhead.
