All About Owls

10/19/2019 | Bennett Spring State Park | Lebanon, MO

Come enjoy a live owl program presented by the World Bird Sanctuary in Shelter A. The park has a resident barred owl that you may hear when camping. This bird of prey has huge eyes unlike any other bird. They can actually see the same object from two different angles and allows them three-dimensional perception. Although we may think the cute ear tufts are functional, they are not. An owl's ear opening is actually beneath its downy feathers. Come view and learn more about this night predator.

The Lebanon Sunbonnett Garden Club will hold a Woodsy Owl/Smoky Bear coloring contest prior to the program that will begin at noon.
