Van Meter State Park invites the public to an informational meeting at the park’s visitor center. Representatives from the park will be on hand to provide information about considering a name change – by adding the first name(s) of the owners of the property who donated the original tract to the citizenry of the State of Missouri in 1932. The public is invited to share comments and ask questions about the park and its operations.
