First Day Hike

1/1/2019 | Montauk State Park | Salem, MO

Come to the park to take a guided hike on Pine Ridge Trail to the park’s Upland Hardwood’s Natural Area then return to the shelter for hot cocoa or coffee. We will hike to the natural area, where you will see an upland hardwood forest and learn how prescribed fire is beneficial for natural communities. The trail is moderate in difficulty and is not stroller friendly. The hike will be approximately one mile in length. Sturdy footwear is recommended for this hike. 

Hike time: 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Meeting Location: Stone CCC Shelter
