First Day Hike

Celebrate the beginning of 2019 with a First Day Hike! First Day Hikes are promoted by America’s State Parks and you will be joining hikers from all 50 states beginning the New Year connecting to the outdoors by taking a healthy hike.

The park will be hosting a hike on Deer Run Trail, which is a moderate 2 ¾-mile hike and takes guests to a scenic bluff view of the Meramec River through oak- hickory forest. The hike will be led by park staff and will last for approximately two hours.

Meet at the visitor center parking lot to use the restroom and sign up for one of our door prizes. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water and snacks.

Check with park staff in case of inclement weather as the park may not be accessible in certain winter weather conditions.  Call 573-522-3760 for more information or any potential cancellation of the event.

Hike time: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
