First Day Hike - History and Caves on Sinkhole and Devil's Icebox Trails

Hike the Sinkhole Trail and part of Devil's Icebox Trail (moderate, 1.5 miles). The interpreter will show you hidden historic features and share the history of Rockbridge Mills. Also, see Devil's Icebox and the rock bridge. If the water level is low, you will have the option to enter the opening of Connor's Cave and go inside the rock bridge. Learn about karst geology.

This event is free. Reservations are required because space is limited. When you call 573-449-7400, you will be given driving directions to the meeting location. This hike is not recommended for children four and under unless carried by an adult. Prefer no dogs. The trails are not stroller accessible. Footwear should be sturdy.  If entering cave areas, either wear water proof boots or expect that you might get your feet wet about 15 minutes before you return to your vehicle.
