Visit the grounds of the Missouri Mines museum after hours for an outdoor tour of the mill complex, where for 65 years lead ore was brought to the surface from the mines below to be crushed, separated and prepared for shipment to the smelter. For safety reasons, the mill buildings will be seen from the outside only.
