Join Jeremy Amick as he tells a little known story of Maj. Gen. Don D. Pittman, a Jefferson City native with a distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force. From tragic beginnings, Pittman persevered through challenge to serve with distinction for 35 years, predominantly during the Cold War. Come learn more about the man, his life and legacy.
The program continues the museum's ongoing series "Museum After Hours," held the first Wednesday of each month. In addition to the program, the museum's galleries will be open until 9 p.m.
The program will be held in the Missouri State Museum's History Hall, located in the east wing of the Missouri state Capitol. After-hours access to the Capitol (after 5:30 p.m.) is through the garage on the east side of the building.
