Hoot Hoot Halloween

10/20/2018 | Bennett Spring State Park | Lebanon, MO

Come to the park for special Halloween programs!

1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. - All About Owls

A live owl program presented by the World Bird Sanctuary will ease your Halloween fears at Shelter B.   Come view and learn more about these night predators. The Lebanon Sunbonnett Garden Club will hold a Woodsy Owl coloring contest directly afterward.  Woodsy encourages children to take an active role in caring for the land through recycling, reusing, reducing waste and not littering.  Students in first through fifth grade can submit their artwork to be sponsored by the garden club in an official USDA Forest Service poster contest.

3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Bat Races

Join us in the playground area across from the park store as we pretend to be a Missouri bat. Learn a little bit about Missouri bats as we play this game. Park staff will have bat wings available for participants to put on and race other batty friends.

6:30 p.m. – Haunted Hatchery

The hatchery building will be transformed for Halloween. Take a haunted hatchery tour. This activity is family friendly and suitable for all ages.

7 p.m. – Outdoor Halloween Movie Night

Join us for an outdoor Halloween-themed movie at Shelter B.
