Van Meter is home to a variety of species ranging from flying squirrels to bobcats. When hiking, camping or just spending time in nature, it is common to find mammal tracks, scat, hair/fur and other signs of mammal habitation. Come to the small shelter house for a program to help visitors learn to identify the different types of mammals we have within our park and in other parks around Missouri.
This event is free and open to the public.
