Celebrate National Trails Day at the park! Park staff, Friends of Hawn Association and the Sierra Club will have information tables out at the White Oaks Trail trailhead from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can also join us for a 3-mile “Ruck Hike” beginning at 9 a.m. The event will end with some Americana music with the Riverside Wanderers in the campground amphitheater at 7 p.m.
In conjunction with this the event, there will be an open house for both Hawn State Park and Felix Vallé House State Historic Site in the parking lot at the White Oaks Trail trailhead from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to ask questions and comment about the facilities.
Event times:
- Information tables: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Three-mile hike: 9 a.m.
- Open house: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Musical performance: 7 p.m.
