10/28/2018 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO

man holding a bald eagleJoin us at the park as we celebrate The Year of the Bird with a program by the educators from World Bird Sanctuary! The World Bird Sanctuary's Raptor Awareness program features birds of prey including falcons, hawks, owls, vultures and a bald eagle. Not only will you see different species of raptors, but you'll also learn a vulture's secret weapon and how to identify a bird of prey in the wild. Sit back and enjoy an up close view as some of the birds soar right over your head!

This program will take place at Camp Sherwood in the large field. Camp Sherwood is located within the park; follow the "special event" directional signs when you enter the park. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on; visitors must be seated during the show. As always, this program is free and open to the public. For more information about this event, contact the park office at 636-528-7247. Click here to read the news release.
