Remember how much fun summer camp used to be? Ever wish you could go back and do it all over again? Well, you can with this Seniors to Parks program! This program lets you go back and be a kid again with hands-on activities, classes and historic crafts and skills. Grab a friend and come be a pioneer for the day. Some of the things you may choose to learn about may include frontier herbs, black powder rifles, flint and steel fire starting, basket weaving, historic toys and games and Dutch oven cooking. All materials will be provided for your day on the frontier, including lunch. No strings attached. Just come and have fun.
This program is a cooperative event with Missouri State Parks Association and Missouri State Parks. It is a free event for adults who are young at heart. Reservations are needed. Space is limited. Please call the site to reserve your spot at 636-940-3322.
