Hellbender Salamanders

Park staff will present a program on the endangered aquatic salamander called a hellbender. Bennett Spring flows into the Niangua River in which this aquatic night feeding animal is being reintroduced. Participants will learn more about their habitat and see photos of the effort in reproducing and reintroduction of the largest salamander in Missouri to other clean swift streams and rivers.
