Come take a hike on Spice Bush Trail through the Meramec River’s flood plain along slightly elevated terraces to the nearby level woodland floor. Along the journey, three bridges cross a perennial stream and other small drainages can make it a wet and slippery hike. This trail is dirt/rocky surfaces with uneven terrain. Wear comfortable shoes for hiking and dress for the weather.
Hike time: 11 a.m. - Noon
Meeting Location: Spice Bush Trail trailhead
This hike is part of a national First Day Hikes initiative by America's State Parks. For more information and a list of other First Day Hikes in Missouri State Parks, click here.
