50th Anniversary of Rock Bridge Memorial State Park

11/4/2017 | Rock Bridge Memorial State Park | Columbia, MO

Celebrate the park's 50th anniversary by enjoying music, learning about the park's history and natural resources, meeting park founders and their family members, eating free food and participating in the 50th anniversary scavenger hunt. Collect stamps and autographs along the way for a lasting souvenir. Tour Connor's Cave, hike to Coyote Bluff for scenic views (.5 mile), and go inside the Hickam Log Cabin. Two PowerPoint presentations will alternate: one on influential people in the park's history and another on the special natural resources of the park and how they are doing.

Musicians who will be performing are Pippa Letsky, Anna Duff, The Calvin Street Band and Banastre Tarleton. Free food will be provided courtesy of Big O Tires and will include hamburgers, hotdogs, chili, chips and cold drinks. Hot drinks will be provided courtesy of McDonald's. There are reports that Bigfoot might be spotted!

This event is free. Reservations are not required for attending the event, but are required for the PowerPoint presentations and Coyote Bluff hikes due to limited space. Call 573-449-7400 to make reservations. This is a family-friendly event open to all ages. Pets must be leashed and may not enter caves or buildings. Park at the Devil's Icebox Trail trailhead.
