Missouri Day Celebration

10/18/2017 | First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site | St. Charles, MO

Join the staff of First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site along with other Missouri State Park representatives as they celebrate Missouri Day.

In an effort to foster appreciation for their state, the 75th Missouri General Assembly set aside the third Wednesday in October to serve as Missouri Day. Missouri Day is a time for schools to honor the state and for the people of Missouri to celebrate the achievements of all Missourians.

Explore a cave, follow the Missouri route of the Trail of Tears, play games as frontier children would have or talk to park rangers and Interpreters to learn what it takes to work for Missouri State Parks!

Sojourn through 100 years of Missouri’s State Parks by exploring our state’s most precious cultural and natural resources. Hands-on exhibits and other surprises await your students. The event is organized into stations and groups are invited to wander through at their leisure.

This free event is open to the public.

School groups are encouraged to make reservations by calling 636-940-3322. For more details on activities, please contact the site.
