Explorer Patch Day!

Do you have what it takes to become a Missouri State Parks and Historic Sites Explorer? Come find out! The Explorer Patch is an award that can be given to individuals or families who complete the necessary projects and programs required to be awarded the patch. Take part in activities that can help you earn your patch! Programs will include:

  • Solar Eclipse 101: Learn all about the upcoming eclipse!
  • Prairie Hike: Travel back to a simpler time on a short hike of our restored prairie!
  • Damsels and Dragons: Find out the difference between a damsel and a dragonfly and make a craft to take home!
  • Scavenger Hunt: Can you find ten or more important objects in the park?
  • Other crafts to make and take home! 

This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to the park office at 660-773-5229 by Aug. 3 if you plan to attend. Upon arrival, please park in the marina parking lot and follow the signs to the event.
