Can you identify poisonous plants and venomous critters? Join Washington State Park to learn all about what's dangerous when walking through the woods and their important impact.
Saturday, July 8
- 1 p.m. - Petroglyph and Glade Tour - Petroglyph Site
This guided interpretive walk highlights two of Washington State Park's unique features. The walk begins with a tour of the ancient Native American rock carvings and will then venture out onto the glade, where visitors will learn about life on this landscape. - 3 p.m. - Nature Hour - Campground Amphitheater
Ready for some competition? During this Nature Hour, Washington State Park interpretive staff will give you the opportunity to compete with a game of Parktionary! - 5 p.m. - Shelter Building Contest - Campground Amphitheater
Do you know how to survive in the woods? Join Washington State Park interpretive staff as you team up to build the best outdoor shelter. - 7 p.m. - Wild Edibles - Campground Amphitheater
Have you ever bitten bark or fried some flowers? Washington State Park interpretive staff will present all about edible wild plants.
Sunday, July 9
- 9 a.m. - Survivor Weekend Obstacle Course and Awards - Campground Amphitheater
Test your skills on a survivor obstacle course! Then, stay to earn your survivor weekend award.
All events last approximately one hour and are weather and conditions permitting and subject to change.
