Take a Hike Weekend

Friday:

7 p.m. Parktionary - Campground Amphitheater (approximately one hour)

  • What do you know about your park? Join Washington State Park interpretive staff for this twist on a classic family game.
Saturday:

10 a.m. National Trails Day Hike - Oppossum Track Trail Trailhead (approximately three hours)

  • Join Washington State Park interpretive staff in celebration of National Trails Day with a hike on the 2.5-mile Oppossum Track Trail. This guided hike will highlight natural features of the trail and Washington State Park. The trail is of moderate difficulty. 

2 p.m. National Trails Day Park History Stroll - Thunderbird Lodge (approximately one hour)

  • Take a stroll through history on National Trails Day!  Washington State Park interpretive staff will lead a guided 1-mile hike along the lower section of the 1000 Step Trail. This hike will feature the cultural and natural highlights of the Big River flood plain and Washington State Park. The trail is of moderate difficulty on natural and paved surface.

All events are weather and conditions permitting and subject to change.
