In celebration of National Kids to Parks Day, the park will hold its fifth annual Kids Kite Day. This year, kite day will allow every kid and kid at heart who participates to make and decorate their very own kite to take home after the event. Park staff will be on hand to assist kids building kites. There will also be several example kites ready for the kids to take on a test flight while the glue dries on their kite. So bring the kids and grandkids out to the park for a fun day outdoors at the park office area.
Event time: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
