Fort Davidson Union Spring Drill

The Turner Brigade of St. Louis, a group of Civil War reenactors, will be volunteering at the site and putting on demonstrations of Civil War infantry drill and artillery drill and possibly also cavalry drill. The brigade also has a civilian group of reenactors consisting of men, women and children in civilian 1860s clothing demonstrating various techniques in knitting, sewing, cooking, music, etc. If you stop by, you might also be arrested by the Union Provost Marshal and brought before a drumhead court martial.

The brigade will be posted to the site staying in traditional tents and spending the night on Saturday. This event is put on by the site with the cooperation of the Friends of Fort Davidson and the Turner Brigade.
