2/13/2016 | Washington State Park | De Soto, MO

In celebration of Black History Month, Washington State Park will host guided bus and walking tours of the work of Civilian Conservation Corps Company 1743. Company 1743 was an African American CCC company, and its work can be seen throughout the park. Naturalist staff will lead these guided tours and discuss the cultural heritage of Company 1743 and its craftsmanship. Bus tours will last approximately one hour and walking tours approximately 1.5 hours. However, groups and individuals may call the park office to schedule tours outside of these times.
