Come to the park for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Bicycle Pump Track and Skills Course. The dedication ceremony will be held at the Kelley Branch Mountain Bike Trail trailhead located in the day-use area. The ceremony will start with a few words from park superintendent Debbie Newby and special guest Missouri State Parks director Bill Bryan. Click here to read the news release.
The pump tack is an 87-foot concrete track that allows bicyclers to speed around an oval ring and over eight bumps or “pumps” to increase speed to take on the banked curves at each end of the track. Bring your bike and see how fast you can go!
If you just want to practice your mountain bike skills, try out the new 12-piece skills course, good for all skill levels. It will prepare you for any mountain bike trail around. Bring your bicycle and join us for the dedication of these two new features.
Check out the new picnic sites that have been added to west side of the parking lot to enhance your picnicking experience. We have also added a new drinking fountain with a pet station attached that will benefit all that use the trail.
