Tuesdays at the Capitol

4/1/2014 | Missouri State Museum | Jefferson City, MO

Missouri State Parks is partnering with the Missouri Folk Arts Program (MFAP) to sponsor “Tuesdays at the Capitol” for the 26th year. This annual event brings Missouri’s best traditional artists to the Missouri State Museum for live, hands-on demonstrations. These gifted Missouri artisans are current or past participants in the Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program, which pairs master traditional artists with talented apprentices to pass artistic and cultural traditions on to the next generation.

On April 1, Irene Livingston and her apprentice, Gretchen Seifert, will demonstrate and display the art of rag rug "twining."
