3/6/2014 to 6/30/2014 | Missouri State Museum | Jefferson City, MO
Exploring five themes in five cases, the objects highlight Missouri offerings from raw materials to manufactured goods to one-of-a-kind crafts. Examples of items on display include an 1870’s-era hand-carved cane, an early 1900’s stained glass sampler set from St. Louis’ own Condie Neale Glass Company and several pieces of hand-knit clothing. The exhibition explores ideas of individual creativity and mass production, and showcases examples of unexpected beauty found within Missouri’s natural resources. Click here to read the news release.
“Missouri Made” was selected by the Airport Art Advisory Committee (AAAC) as one of four exhibitions on display in 2014 as part of the Airport’s Art and Culture Program. The exhibition is sponsored in part by the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission and Missouri Arts Council.
