45th Annual Operation Clean Stream

Operation Clean Stream is an annual cleanup of the Meramec River and its tributaries, the Huzzah, Courtois, Bourbeuse and Big rivers. Join hundreds of volunteers in making the streams clean by removing trash, litter, tires and metal from the waterways and river banks. The event will begin with a light breakfast and registration in the morning, followed by the cleanup, lunch and refreshments. For more information, visit the Open Space Council website.

Note: Canoes are not provided. If you are planning on going out on the river, please make arrangements beforehand for your group. Opportunities exist for cleanup within the park.

Event times: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

There will be locations along the Meramec River, including Greentree Park in Kirkwood, Arnold City Park, George Winter Park in Fenton, Route 66 State Park in Eureka and Meramec State Park in Sullivan. Most new volunteers will meet at Greentree Park in Kirkwood.
